Welcome to Battle of the Books. Please use the Q and A below to find out more about this amazing event. What is the Battle of the Books? Battle of the Books is a Quiz Bowl Style Competition for students in grades 3-12. When students join, they commit to working with a school team to read books from the 2023/2024 Battle of the Books list. The list includes twelve books of various levels of difficulty. Students may read the books independently, with partners, with the team, or with an adult. Some titles are also available as audiobooks.. Students then compete in teams at the school to answer questions about the books. In April, each school sends one team per participating grade level to compete in the district Battle of the Books. Yes, it is a competition, but the purpose is to foster a love of reading!

Students read 12 books over a period of five months.
